Melanoma Day, June 29
On June 29, 2026, a Melanoma Day event was held as part of a nationwide initiative for the early detection of skin neoplasms.
The diagnostic process utilized the Melanoscope AI intelligent system, developed by specialists at ISP RAS. Based on neural network models, this tool assists physicians in analyzing dermatoscopic images, thereby increasing the accuracy and speed of detecting dangerous neoplasms.
A total of 15 people were examined during the event. One patient was found to have a suspected case of melanoma.
Each participant received recommendations on self-examination and photographic monitoring of moles, as well as a reminder about the importance of UV protection.
Such initiatives make it possible to detect skin diseases early and save lives.
